U.S. pork industry officials are launching a new effort to
identify biosecurity gaps.
Swine Health Information Center director Dr. Paul Sundberg says SHIC is collaborating with the National Pork Producers Council and American Association of Swine Veterinarians on the year-long project.
“So we can work on the highest priorities the fastest, and get those taken care of and keep going down the list to harden our borders (and) harden our biosecurity.”
The National Swine Disease Council represents the organizations funding the project and selected EpiX Analytics to provide a science-based look at the entire chain.
