After a wet spring that delayed some planting, an eastern Missouri farmer is now concerned about dry weather.
Warren Stemme tells Brownfield Ag News a lot of farmers in
his area need rain, especially for corn, “It’s all pollinating now so,
obviously, a little rain and cooler weather would be much appreciated.”
Stemme stays there’s an 80% chance of rain for his area tomorrow,
“We’re seeing corn roll up on the sandier, drought spots in
the field so we definitely need it.”
Last year was a complete washout for his crops.
