A slow start to direct cash cattle business today. There are a few scattered bids on the table at $96.50 live and $157 dressed, both in Nebraska. Asking prices are around $97 live in the South and $158 to $160 dressed in the North. There’s been a light to moderate trade just about every day this week, live deals have ranged from $95 to $97, mostly $95 in the South. That’s fully steady with last week’s business.
