The
Missouri State Fair announced Friday that it is canceling all events except for
its junior livestock shows.
The fair says Governor Mike Parson and the Missouri Department of Health & Senior Services determined reducing the number of fairgoers to be the safest course of action to limit COVID-19 related risks.
Canceled events include the opening day ceremony, Governor’s Ham Breakfast, carnival and all open livestock shows.
In
a release, the fair says it will continue the “invaluable agriculture education
experience” it provides to 4-H and FFA members.
