Warm and dry conditions continued in Ohio last week. According to the drought monitor, nearly 60 percent of the state had abnormally dry conditions.
Crop condition
ratings fell slightly with 43 percent of corn and 48 percent of soybeans rated
good to excellent.
Thirty-three percent of the corn crop is silking. Sixty-four
percent of soybeans are blooming, and 15 percent are setting pods.
The second cutting of alfalfa hay is 81 percent complete and the second cutting of other hay is 54 percent complete.
