Timely rains and warm temperatures helped crops in
Indiana last week.
The USDA says crop condition ratings held steady with 59
percent of corn and 60 percent of soybeans rated good to excellent.
Sixty-one percent of the corn crop is silking and four percent is in the dough stage. Sixty-three percent of soybeans are blooming, and 22 percent are setting pods.
The second cutting of alfalfa hay is 79 percent complete and the second cutting of other hay is 54 percent complete.
