Arkansas crops could use a rain, but conditions are holding up and, in some cases, improving.

Sixty-four percent of the rice crop is rated good to excellent and 10 percent is headed.  Eighty-one percent of the cotton crop is rated good to excellent, 97 percent is squaring, and 56 percent is setting bolls. 

Soybeans are rated 67 percent good to excellent with 74 percent blooming and 45 percent setting pods.  Corn is rated 72 percent good to excellent with 60 percent in the dough stage, and 12 percent dented.
