Iowa’s corn and soybean ratings slipped again this week but remain high for mid- to late-July.
Corn condition rated 80 percent good to excellent with
soybeans at 79 percent. Both crops rated 83 percent last week.
Corn in the dough stage reached six percent while
pod-setting in soybeans was at 29 percent.
The second cutting of alfalfa stood at 76 percent with hay condition
rated 68 percent good to excellent.
