Direct cash cattle trade is off to a quiet start following Tuesday’s light to moderate trade. The lone bid that has surfaced is in Nebraska at $157 dressed. Asking prices are around $98 plus live in the South and $160 to $162 dressed in the North. There was a light to moderate trade that developed in the South at $95 to $96, generally steady to $1 higher than last week’s weighted averages. Business in the North, however, was pretty quiet.
