Subsequently, another cold front will interact with the Southwestern monsoon circulation, helping to generate scattered to widespread showers and thunderstorms from the Four Corners States into the upper Midwest. Meanwhile, a tropical wave crossing the northern Gulf of Mexico should move inland late in the week across Texas or Louisiana, delivering heavy rain.
