Minnesota is looking to become the first state to make auditing
of biosecurity plans on turkey farms mandatory.
Minnesota Turkey Growers director Sarah Anderson tells Brownfield growers have been working with the Board of Animal Health.
“To make sure they have plans in place. And for our guys, that’s second nature, they are very diligent about that. But sometimes just putting it down to paper is more of a challenge.”
She encourages turkey growers to have their biosecurity plan finalized by the fall.
