Most of Wisconsin had a hot and muggy week, which led to
good growing conditions for crops. USDA
reporters says there were isolated reports of hail and wind damage with
scattered storms, but southern Wisconsin saw very little rain until Sunday
night.
Wisconsin corn is three days ahead of average and 13 days ahead of last year, with 61% of corn silking and 8% at the dough stage. Eighty-two percent of the corn is in good to excellent condition.
