Crop development and condition remain above normal in
Minnesota.
The USDA says as of Sunday, 90 percent of corn is
silking. That’s nearly two weeks ahead
of last year and eight days faster than the five-year average.
Eighty-four percent of the crop is rated good to excellent,
a slight improvement on the week.
For soybeans, 89 percent are blooming and 55 percent are
stetting pods.
That’s nine days ahead of last year and five days ahead of
normal.
