Missouri is among the states getting reports from people who have received unsolicited seeds in the mail from China.
Jacob Fleig is program coordinator for the Missouri Agriculture Department’s Feed and Seed Bureau. He tells Brownfield Ag News, “This isn’t the first time we’ve seen this. We had one back in early as June that we referred to USDA that they jumped right on and started an investigation.”
Fleig tells Brownfield several reports came in from
Missourians over the weekend of unidentified seeds that could be invasive
species or prohibited or noxious weeds.
