Timely rains
helped improve Ohio crops last week. According to the drought monitor, nearly 80
percent of the state had abnormally dry conditions.
Crop
condition ratings increased to 47 percent of corn and 54 percent of soybeans
rated good to excellent.
Sixty-four percent of the corn crop is silking and two percent of the crop is in the dough stage. Seventy-six percent of soybeans are blooming, and 34 percent are setting pods.
