Nebraska Farm Bureau continues to push for property tax relief in the Nebraska legislature.

Farm Bureau president Steve Nelson says he remains

optimistic.

“We’re very close to having the number of votes needed to

pass some really important property tax relief in LB 1106—and it also contains

a significant increase in state aid to public schools across the state,” Nelson

says.

The first few days of this summer’s legislative session have

been marked by bitter infighting among some members of the Unicameral.  Nelson hopes cooler heads will prevail.
