Nearly 70 percent of winter wheat in South Dakota has been
harvested.
The latest crop report from USDA says as of Sunday, harvest
is at 68 percent. That’s well ahead of last
year’s 17 percent and the five-year average of 57 percent.
The spring wheat harvest, at eight percent, is ten
percentage points behind normal.
Eighty-six percent of corn and 84 percent of soybeans in the
state are in good to excellent condition.
