The Nebraska Department of Agriculture is asking Nebraska residents who have received unsolicited packages of seed in the mail in recent days to notify USDA’s Animal Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS) office in Lincoln.
The department says the sealed seed packages should not be
opened and the seeds should not be planted. They advise keeping the sealed seed
packets and mailing packaging, including the mailing label, together in a
sealed bag while waiting for further instructions from APHIS.
