Norborne, Missouri soybean grower Kyle Durham is the new

Missouri Soybean Merchandising Council chairman, elected this week by members

of that board. The position is important, Durham tells Brownfield, because the

soybean growers’ story needs to be told.

“There are, quite frankly, too many people that are unfamiliar with it,” said

Durham. “It’s not a shame just that they don’t know, it’s a shame that they don’t

know because soy impacts their lives on a daily basis in so many significant ways.”

Durham’s election was during the Council’s summer meeting, where board members

also reviewed ongoing research and education efforts.
