Another round of light direct cash cattle trade is underway at midday. There are a few deals at a regional in Nebraska reported at $160 dressed. A light trade in Texas is underway at $97, $1 higher than last week’s weighted averages. Asking prices are at $98 to $100 live in the South and $162 dressed in the North. Today’s Fed Cattle Exchange had 1,507 head offered with 1,245 head sold. There were 550 head sold with a weighted average of $97.50 marked for 1 to 9-day delivery and 695 head sold for 1 to 17-day delivery for a weighted average of $97.14.
