Michigan crop conditions held steady last week following timely rains.

The USDA says 85 percent of corn is silking, 13 percent is in the dough stage and condition dropped one point to 60 percent good to excellent.  Soybeans are 91 percent blooming, 65 percent setting pods, and condition improved three points to 69 percent good to excellent.

As of Sunday, 63 percent of oats, 43 percent of dry beans, and 51 percent of sugarbeets were in good to excellent condition.
