A central Indiana dairy farmer says he has seen the benefits of embracing technology and upgrading to robotic milkers on his operation.
John Carter runs an 80 head dairy farm with his parents – Jeff and Kathy.
He says they made the decision to install two Lely robots because of labor concerns.
“I just decided if I was going to come back and maintain the dairy that I wanted to do the robotics because of labor savings,” he says.
