A South Dakota based precision ag company is releasing two technologies to help growers toward automated sprayer applications.

Raven Industries, Inc.’s Visual Guidance System can now guide sprayers through full crop canopies and make automatic turns in fields.

The company says operators can cover about 20 percent more acres with increased speeds, eliminate crop damage and misapplications, and the automation reduces driver fatigue.

The canopy guidance system uses non-contact radar sensors to make applications while the automatic turning ability will help reduce human error when spraying crops.
