USDA is advising farmers who produce new commodities included in the Coronavirus Food Assistance Program to update applications for additional direct payments.
Farm Service Agency director of outreach Latrice Hill says producers with active applications will automatically receive additional money for crops with adjusted rates and should soon see the remaining 20 percent of their direct payments.
“Please know that you can revise your application.”
USDA has added more than 60 additional commodities to the program in their latest update which had proven price declines or supply chain disruptions during the first quarter.
