A central Nebraska farmer says he expects above-average corn and soybean yields this fall.
Don Batie of Lexington, Nebraska says despite some hail and high winds early on, his corn crop looks very good. And he says the crop pollinated well.
“Every ear we’ve been pulling is filled out clear to the tip,” Batie says. “We had great pollination weather—it was warm, but it was cool at nights—and then we got a little bit of rain. So we had great pollination.
