The National FFA Organization has announced a record-high student membership of more than 760,000, up from 700,000 last year.

Kristy Meyer is the communications manager for National FFA. 

“Student membership has typically been increasing each year, but this is a little larger increase so we’re pretty excited,” she says. “We’re not exactly sure why that is but I do think more students are becoming aware of all the opportunities that the agriculture industry offers them.”

She tells Brownfield National FFA continues to stress the amount of opportunities in agriculture.
