Food vendors that would normally offer their fair food favorites at the Wisconsin State Fair sold a lot of their favorites during a special COVID-19 event. The Fair Necessities fair food drive-thru at State Fair Park was held over four weekends.
Vendors were set up on a winding path through the fairgrounds and could stop and order what they liked to-go. State Fair officials say more than 58-thousand vehicles passed through to buy fair food.
Some of the featured items were burgers and steak sandwiches from the Wisconsin Cattlemen’s Association, pork chops and pulled pork sandwiches from the Wisconsin Pork Association, and stuffed baked potatoes with the Wisconsin Potato and Vegetable Association.
