At the Chicago Mercantile Exchange, live and feeder cattle ended the day lower, pressured by Friday’s On Feed numbers. Feeder cattle faced additional pressure from the day’s higher move in corn. August live cattle closed $.22 lower at $105.57 and October live cattle closed $.62 lower at $107.92.
Direct cash cattle trade started the week off quietly. Bids and asking prices have yet to be established. Showlists this week are about steady in Nebraska/Colorado, somewhat lower in Kansas, and lower in Texas.
