Ag Economist Jim Mintert says producers will likely continue to be less optimistic about the future in the next Purdue University/CME Group Ag Economy Barometer.
“When you think about what drives current sentiment people look out the window a little bit and look at their production prospects,” he says. “In the corn belt things look better from that standpoint but the price side doesn’t look very good and so when you look at it from a longer-term perspective, I think that creates some concerns.”
Producers were surveyed last week, and the results will be released on Sept.
