A new organization is launching to support the long-term resiliency of Michigan farms.

Michigan Agriculture Advancement founder Tim Boring tells Brownfield the group plans to tackle some of the structural and environmental challenges within agriculture today.

“We’re largely looking to develop and advocate for reasonable and smart policies to address some of these structural issues and we’re really going to be looking to highlight innovative agronomic management.”

A crop farmer himself, Boring says focus areas will include projects that build soil health and better markets for crop diversity while partnering with farmers to implement innovative management strategies.
