Leaders of the U.S. Soybean Export Council say they’re optimistic about the future.
Jim Sutter spoke to reporters following the council’s Global Trade Exchange which he says doubled the amount of participants this year even though it was online.
“We’re optimistic that the resiliency of our U.S. soybean farmers and other facets of our soy value chain will pull us through. And, we anticipate a return to more stable markets for soy in the coming year.”
Sutter says phase one of the U.S./China trade deal seems to be progressing well and they were assured by Ambassador Greg Doud that many procedural issues in the deal have been ironed out.
