Corn for ethanol use has improved as plants reopen after closures due to COVID-19, but demand remains well below a year ago.
The USDA says 424.370 million bushels of corn were used for fuel alcohol production during July, up 12% from June, but still 6% below July 2019.
Production of distillers dried grains with solubles came out at 1,864,135 tons, also up 12% on the month, but down 6% on the year.
