U.S. ethanol production slid a little last week, while stocks climbed.
The U.S. Energy Information Administration says ethanol production averaged 922,000 barrels a day, down 9,000 from the previous week and 91,000 lower than a year ago because of the continued concerns about blending demand due to COVID-19. Blending demand did improve a little, but also remains below year ago levels, and the amount of gasoline supplied to the market was lower than both the week before and last year.
