After high propane demand for corn drying in 2019, the outlook for 2020 looks to be about average.
Dan Pannier is the Propane Operations Manager for GROWMARK based in Illinois. He tells Brownfield some of the corn in western Illinois is at 25-28% moisture right now.
“My expectations would be that the corn drying will just be an average year and maybe even slightly under that.”
He says the wild card in this hand is Iowa and the state of their corn crop after the darecho.
