Some light direct cash cattle trade is being reported in the South.  Deals in Kansas and Texas are at $102 live, which is $1 to $2 lower than this week’s previous business.  The rest of cattle country is quiet with asking prices around $105 live in the South and $165 dressed in the North. There was a light trade that took place in most of cattle country on Wednesday with Northern dressed deals marked at $162 to $163, mostly $163, $4 lower than last week’s weighted average basis in Nebraska.
