Two private data firms have released updated crop yield estimates.
Barchart forecasts a national corn yield of 178.4 and a soybean yield of 50.5 bushels per acre.
Main Street Data estimates the corn yield at 178.1. Main Street is also estimating Iowa’s corn loss from the derecho wind event at 185 million bushels and puts Iowa’s final yield forecast at 195.7 bushels per acre.
