A meteorologist tells Brownfield the weather patterns show cool and moist weather is likely in early September, and he would not be surprised to see some early frost. Greg Soulje says, “Parts of maybe southeastern South Dakota, far west into central Minnesota, and parts of west-central Wisconsin, it’s conceivable that there may be some patchy frost areas over the next, probably seven to twelve days.”
Soulje says with clear skies, light winds, and low spots in fields, the potential to impact crops is there.
