The Missouri Pork Association and Missouri Farmers Care has teamed up to get pork to food banks.

The St. Louis Area Foodbank received more than 52 thousand pounds of pork last week as part of Missouri Farmers Care’s Drive to Feed Kids program.

Executive Director of Missouri Farmers Care Ashley McCarty tells Brownfield the need for food and especially protein has spiked during the COVID-19 Pandemic.

“The food bank has seen over a 30 percent increase,” she said.
