Storms moving across southern Minnesota battered corn and soybeans with hail, high winds, and heavy rain over the holiday weekend.

Brennen Toquam farms near Blooming Prairie in southeastern Minnesota and tells Brownfield some of his crops were damaged by hail early Saturday.

“I was up there yesterday and had some beans on the ground, which is not ideal. And some corn that kind of looks like it got put through a paper shredder or something, leaves are pretty shredded on it.”

He’s also concerned about the cooler and wetter weather pattern this week.
