The Senate GOP’s coronavirus relief bill introduced this week fell three short of the 60 procedural votes needed to move it forward. The bill, put forth by Majority leader McConnell, contained $20-Billion additional dollars for agriculture. All Senate Democrats present today and Republican Rand Paul of Kentucky voted against it.
The measure did NOT contain another round of 12-hundred-dollar direct payments, any new relief for state and local governments, or extra food assistance.
