GRUNDY COUNTY IS ONE OF SIX NORTHEAST IOWA COUNTIES THAT IS ELIGIBLE TO PARTICIPATE IN A FEDERAL REVOLVING LOAN PROGRAM.  $3.3-MILLION DOLLARS IS AVAILABLE UNDER THE PROGRAM WHICH IS ADMINISTERED THROUGH THE CARES ACT RECOVERY ASSISTANCE PROGRAM.

THE MARSHALL COUNTY DISASTER RECOVERY FUND IS RECEIVING A $10,000 DONATION FROM THE CARSON KING FOUNDATION, AS EFFORTS CONTINUE TOWARD RECOVERY FROM THE AUGUST 10TH DERECHO.

GRINNELL COLLEGE ALUMNI HAVE RECEIVED ALMOST 750 SIGNATURES IN A PETITION DRIVE AIMES AT CHANGING THE NMAE OF THE SCHOOL’S MASCOT, PIONEERS.  THE PETITION CONTENDS THE MASCOT ASSOCIATES WITH TAKING NATIVE AMERICAN LANDS.
