The USDA says topsoil moisture is 49 percent adequate. 

Corn is rated 61 percent good to excellent with 94 percent of the crop dented, 79 percent ahead of last year, and some of the crop harvested. 

Sixty – four percent of the soybean crop is rated good to excellent. Soybeans dropping leaves is well ahead of normal at 61 percent. 

Winter wheat planted reached nine percent. 

Sorghum is rated 71 percent good to excellent.
