The Cattlemen’s Beef Board (CBB) – the Beef Checkoff – will consider investing more than $39 million in beef promotion, research, foreign marketing and producer communications during fiscal 2021. The Beef Promotion Operating Committee (BPOC) – including 10 producers from the Cattlemen’s Beef Board and 10 producers from the Federation of State Beef Councils – approved the checkoff spending last week in Denver, according to a news release from the National Cattlemen’s Beef Association. The spending proposal still must be approved by the full Cattlemen’s Beef Board and the USDA.
