The National Restaurant Association says nearly 100-thousand restaurants have closed six months into the coronavirus pandemic.
That represents one in six restaurants either closed permanently or long term. Nearly three-million employees remain out of work and the industry is expected to lose $240-Billion dollars by the end of this year.
The survey also found that most restaurants are still struggling to survive. And, 40% of operators says it’s not likely they will still be in business six months from now if there are no more federal relief funds.
