An August survey of farmers by Farm Futures shows soybean acres could increase significantly in 2021.

Survey respondents projected planting nearly 4.1 million more acres of soybeans next spring compared to 2020. The estimated 87.9 million acres would represent a five percent increase.

Respondents indicated they would plant 91.8 million acres of corn, a 0.3 percent decrease from 2020.

Farm Futures surveyed 1,044 respondents via an email questionnaire.
