The 2020 North American International Livestock Exposition remains scheduled for November but will be a modified show only open to participants.
The decision to cut out the tens of thousands of spectators the event typically attracts was made to better comply with COVID-19 public health regulations.
Participants will wear a special wristband to help with contact tracing and to limit capacity in the barns. Media reports say the plans have not yet been approved by Kentucky Governor Andy Beshear.
