The National Corn Growers Association welcomed news of the next round of Coronavirus Food Assistance Program payments. NCGA says the payments will help farmers recover from the continued financial implications of COVID-19.
NCGA President Kevin Ross says farmers are doing what they can to get back on solid ground, but they can’t do it alone. He says that’s why CFAP2 is a welcome step forward.
An analysis by NCGA projects a $59 per acre average revenue decline for the 2019 corn crop, and an $89 per acre average revenue decline for 2020.
