Soybean harvest is underway with scattered reports of corn for grain harvest across southern Minnesota.
The latest weekly crop report from USDA says as of Sunday, seven percent of the state’s soybean acres are harvested, compared to zero percent last year and in line with the five-year average.
Soybeans dropping leaves reached 71 percent, nearly two weeks faster than a year ago and five days faster than normal.
Seventy-six percent of soybeans are considered good to excellent.
