During a forum with farmers in central Illinois Monday (or last week) US Ag Secretary Sonny Perdue was asked if he will accept another term if President Trump is re-elected.
“I certainly will consider that and have no plans to just be a one-termer at this point in time.”
Perdue says securing trade relationships will continue to be important in the coming years.
“Ted McKinney and I are working along with USTR repeatedly on trade deals to make sure we have export potential all over the world.”
Perdue says he also plans to continue resolving ag labor issues if appointed for a second term.
