Fifth generation farmer John Linder of Edison, Ohio, is the new president of the National Corn Growers Association.

He says the responsibility of the role is not lost on him.

“My pledge to you is there will be no stone left unturned in our effort to create opportunities for our industry to recover and grow beyond the current situation,” he says. “Our road to recovery has multiple paths and in the short term we are working on a recovery plan with representatives of our value chain that’s designed to set the table for some of the longer-term opportunities.”  

During a media call Thursday, Linder told Brownfield he’s looking forward to advocating on behalf of corn growers across the country.
